Anaerobic Digestion (AD) is an efficient and modern organic waste treatment method, preferred from an economic standpoint and especially for environmentally friendly. Our technology is able to provide two different AD systems as an optimum solution for each specific situation. These are the dry and the wet processes – Dry Anaerobic Digestion, where the process takes place within completely insulated and aerated concrete cells, and Wet Anaerobic Digestion, where additional material pre-treatment systems are involved – Pulper System for selection and Press System for obtaining the fermentation liquid.
The final objective of both systems is to reduce the biological activity of the biodegradable material while also providing heat and electricity, which can be used to power up the facility as a standalone unit or transferred to the utility supply systems.
Due to the process efficiency and simplicity, the process air recirculation and filtration technology and technology customized on the basis of the composition of the material, the Dry AD method is predominantly used in the treatment procedure, waste being processed inside closed cells as part of a fully controlled process, without emissions into the environment.
The end purpose of the fermentation technology, the biogas transportation, ventilation, water/air/gas systems, the maturation, filtration and distribution systems, together with the CHP (Combined Heat and Power) unit, lead us to energy from waste.
